Sunday mornings - 9:40-10:30

Join us for six weeks of growing in faith and understanding.
New growth opportunities for adults and children.

"Parenting Beyond Your Capacity" by Reggie Joiner and Carey Nieuwhof. Whether your child is taking her first steps or walking the halls of ACHS, you will find this group purposeful. Every stage of parenting can be a challenge. Every parent has wondered if what they are doing is enough. Joiner and Niewwhof writes: "God knows our limits and has already set in place a plan for us to parent beyond our weakness, our situations, our humanness." You are not alone. We will meet on the    second floor of the ARC.  Led by Rev. Micki McHugh.

"Central Issues of Faith" This group will    examine things like "Faith Is a Quest," "Spirituality Is Not Enough," "Church - An Imperfect Family," and "Bible - A Book Like No Other." Each session in this study is independent of the other so if you can't make them all, that is ok. We will meet on the second floor of the ARC. Led by Rev. Jim Wheeler.

For children we offer:

"People of the Old Testament" Each Sunday for the six weeks we will learn about another exciting character God uses to tell God's story of grace. Children will meet on the 3rd floor.

Join together with your friends in Christ around the world as we celebrate World Communion Sunday this week.
Anne Bond will be sharing her lovely voice in song during the 10:45 service.

Our scripture for Sunday is Philippians 4:1-9  and Rev. Wheeler's message title is "Rejoice."

Praise and Prayer

Thursday at - 6:45 p.m.

If you are looking for a time and place to re-new your spirit, re-connect with God, refocus for the remainder of your week, this just may be for you.
COME AS YOU ARE - don't worry about rushing home to change your clothes.  Arrive Late - Leave early.  If you've known God all your life or if you wonder if God is even real.  There is a place for all.

School has started and we delivered 259 bags of food last  week and 242 this week to the schools.  At roughly $5.00 worth of food per child that is $2500.00 in two weeks. It really does take a village to make this program work. Your tax deductible donations would be very much appreciated and needed.  The kids Thank YOU!

The church must be reminded

that it is not the master or the servant of the state,

but rather the conscience of the state.

It must be the guide and the critic of the state,

and never its tool.

If the church does not recapture its prophetic zeal, it will become an irrelevant social club without moral or spiritual authority.

Martin Luther King Jr.
