We will be recognizing the 50th anniversary of Chuck Brumley's ordination on May 13, 1962.


During the 10:45 service our chancel choir will be singing
"Peter, Go Ring Them Bells" with Sue Lou and Edna playing a four hand piano accompaniment, and
"How Can I Keep From Singing."

Our scriptures for Sunday are: Acts 1:1-11 and
Luke 24:44-53. Rev. Wheeler's message title is "Blessing and Power."                                                                                
Prayer Joys and Concerns

There are a number of unspoken prayers on our hearts and in our minds. God certainly knows each of these and we lift them up for God's continual care.

Mike Sparrow - has been very sick lately with a serious intestinal infection. He went to a specialist this week and was feeling some better. He has requested no visitors at this time.

Gary Cardwell is in Good Samaritan Hospital with gall bladder and stone concerns..

Jean Hawkins is in Frankfort Regional Hospital with Pneumonia concerns

Roy York, Son of Elizabeth and Rick fell and broke his leg on Wednesday.

Jeanne Cantrell continues rehab from her recent partial knee replacement.

Jim Grider continues at Cardinal Hill for therapy from his recent hip replacement surgery..

The family of Gunther Lange who passed from this life to eternal life on Tuesday morning. Gunther is the Father of Jeanne (Jeff) Hosp. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home.

Lea Briscoe has been in St. Joseph hospital this week with blood clots in her lungs. She was dismissed on Wednesday.

Emily and Danial Dial's Son was delivered on Thursday in Cincinnati. He has several very serious health concerns including his heart that is not functioning properly. Emily is the daughter of Nancy Spencer Buhlig and Granddaughter of Billy and Jean Spencer.

Tal Curry's Brother-in-law Jim continues to have health concerns following his heart attack. He has been in and out of the hospital several times over the last couple of weeks. Please continue to remember Jim, his wife Kate, their five small children, and all who are giving such loving care in the midst of a difficult time.

John Wilson - Son of Joyce and Terry Wilson - has begun serving in a medical unit in Afghanistan and will be there for 90 days.

Harry Newton continues to recover from recent skin cancer surgery on his leg.

Reegie Robinson - husband of Peggy continues to recover from his recent neck surgery.
Emily Smith continues rehab for her recent knee surgery but is now off of the crutches.

Kyla Satterly - daughter of Kathy Royalty report last week was not as good as other weeks but blood work is still in the acceptable range after receiving specialized treatments concerning her aplastic anemia. She is able to return to work on a limited basis.

Debbie Dickerson - Mother of Jason - received a difficult report that her cancer is very active again.

Thinis Hundley - Brother of Barb Schaars has a blood infection. He is staying with Barb.

Leon Buchanan - Uncle of Barb Schaars has cancer concerns.

Martha Blevins - Mother of David Garmon - continuing cancer concerns
